Waqar Ahmed is a Development Professional with strong experience in Elections, Governance & Democracy, Capacity Building, Gender, Poverty Reduction, and Environment enhancement, Livelihood, Community Development, Human and Social Development. Mr. Waqar has fourteen (14) years of experience and committed with the cause of good governance, democracy, gender equity & equality, community empowerment, capacity building and social development. Mr. Waqar has good understanding about development concepts, and has vast experience of development of rural and urban communities he has experience to visit and work throughout Pakistan.
Mr. Waqar Ahmed also has experience of working with International NGOs, e.g. UNDP, UNOPS, IFES, USAID, TAF, DFID and Plan International. He also have working experience with the Government Departments e.g. Election Commission of Pakistan, City District Governments, Tehsil Municipal Administrations, WASA, RDA, CDA, MDA, Education & Health Departments, Ministry of Environment, Federal Flood Commission and many others.
Designing of training, awareness/advocacy material, awareness campaigns, advocacy campaigns, module development, proposal writing for projects, report writing, design and conduct of trainings and monitoring & evaluation of projects are key areas of expertise. Preparation of budgets, planning and designing of projects (hardware and software), implementation/execution of projects/programs and financial and administrative management are also key strengths of Mr.Waqar’s professional experience. Mr. Waqar is also a certified/accredited trainer/facilitator of BRIDGE training program (an international training program on elections for EMBs).
