What Kind of Experience Will I Get?

The experience begins with immersive training on writing, media ethics, digital journalism, research skills, and the basics of diplomatic coverage. Then, participants will:

  • Write and publish articles on global affairs.
  • Conduct interviews with diplomats, ambassadors, and policy experts.
  • Research and co-author policy briefs, risk assessments, and book chapters.
  • Learn how to leverage AI tools for modern reporting.
  • Collaborate on digital video content for Diplo TV.

You will leave the program with published work, editorial references, and a real professional portfolio.

We welcome fresh graduates or final-year students in relevant social sciences, young professionals looking to pivot into media or diplomacy, and aspiring correspondents. No prior newsroom experience is required — just commitment, curiosity, and drive.

Islamabad, Pakistan — This is an on-site, immersive training experience. Remote participation is not available.
