Jublee Bano belongs to mountainous area, District Hunza Nagar, Gilgit Baltistan. She has done MSC economics and currently doing MPHIL in international Development Studies. She has completed two months short course in Gender inclusion in Water Resource Management from University of Queensland under Australian Pakistan Awards Scholarship in 2014. Jublee has been working in various capacities including social entrepreneurship, child protection, democratic governance, livelihood and communication expert. She has successfully executed a project “Social entrepreneurship”, in which marginalized women from slum areas were identified and enhanced their skills in marble mosaic work, formation of women business associations and linked them with market. This project got high appreciation and achieved multiple positive results like women empowerment and waste management. She also worked as communication expert in World Bank funded nationwide poverty targeting survey in 2010. Jublee is currently working in civil society organization “Trust for democratic Governance in Pakistan”, which is working for democratic governance through electoral reforms. She aims to contribute in constitutional rights of Gilgit Baltistan and engage voluntarily with different civil society organizations.
