Afghanistan–Pakistan Emerging Young Women Leaders Congress

The Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies, with the support of the N-Peace Network, organised a two-day Afghanistan–Pakistan Emerging Young Women Leaders Congress at the Grand Ambassador Hotel, Islamabad, on 14 and 15 January 2019. The congress brought together young women leaders from both countries to exchange ideas, build partnerships, and explore avenues for peace, collaboration and leadership in the region.

Participants worked on joint initiatives in peacebuilding and social development and on strengthening woman-to-woman contact between the two countries, and proposed Weave for Peace, an initiative for the economic empowerment of displaced and refugee women.
