Roundtable on SCO Bishkek Summit 2019 Insights and Future Directions

On 24th June 2019, H.E. Mr. Erik Beishembiev, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic made a presentation as a keynote speaker at the Roundtable on Post Bishkek Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit 2019 – Lessons Learnt and Way Forward organized by the Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies of Pakistan.

Mrs. Firdous Ashiq Awan , Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan for Information and Broadcasting, Mr. Syed Naveed Safdar Bokhari, Director General SCO, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan and the Ambassadors from the CIS Countries, Representatives of Diplomatic Corps in Islamabad, as well as of International Organizations and NGOs’ and University experts participated in the event.

H.E. Mr. Erik Beishembiev informed about events organized in the framework of SCO Summit 2019 in Bishkek, the results and meeting between H.E. Mr. Sooronbai Jeenbekov, President of the Kyrgyz Republic and H.E. Mr. Imran Khan, Prime Minister of Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Taking account Pakistan’s and Kyrgyzstan’s participation in EU GSP+ program, he suggested to use beneficial geographic location and economic opportunities of Kyrgyzstan.
